When a client has a pre-existing condition, or has suffered a serious illness in the past, the first thing we do is pick up the phone. We speak to Underwriters at many of the UK’s leading Insurance companies. Discussing all of our client’s medical history helps us to identify the best company to apply to. This also means we avoid applying to companies who will end up being too expensive or worse, decline an application. By completing our research thoroughly, we are able to avoid wasting time and obtain the best terms possible for our clients.
Mr R, a 37 year old non-smoker contacted us as he required Life insurance and Critical illness cover for the purpose of providing protection for his young family.
Mr R, currently rents a property and wanted to ensure a lump sum would be paid should he die or suffer a critical illness.
However, he had previously experienced problems in arranging life insurance and critical illness cover as he had suffered from Tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection spread through inhaling tiny droplets from the coughs or sneezes of an infected person.
It mainly affects the lungs, but it can affect any part of the body, including the tummy (abdomen) glands, bones and nervous system.
TB is a serious condition, but it can be cured if it’s treated with the right antibiotics.

Mr R was pleased that we were able to arrange an Index Linked Life insurance policy of £320,000 and £20,000 of critical illness cover over 20 years, for a monthly premium of £38.99. With no increases made to the premium owing to his past illness.
