- We helped our customer who regularly works in Somalia arrange Life Insurance cover.
- The policy does not include cover should the death occur in Somalia as this is covered by his employer.

Our client was looking for life insurance which could provide a lump sum to his family should he pass away. The client has no health issues, but travels to Somalia as part of his job and he spends about 3 months away at a time.
As part of our research we contacted all the major insurance companies who advised that they would decline the application due to the danger posed by the civil war.
The client receives life cover through his employer if his death occurs in Somalia, so we were able to arrange a policy through a specialist insurance company who offered a policy with additional terms.
We were able to apply and secure a policy with £200,000 of life cover for 10 years with a monthly premium of £76. The cover will pay out for any reason, so long as the death takes place in the countries of Western Europe, N America or Australasia.
Please note that any premiums mentioned are indicative only and based on this specific case study/ example, which is shown for information purposes only. Your own circumstances will determine whether the amount payable is more or less than the figure quoted.
