Our client, was experiencing more asthma symptoms than usual and was finding his blue inhaler not as effective at controlling his symptoms. Working full time and not being able to wait two weeks to see a GP in his local practice,(especially as he was struggling to breathe), he decided to try out the LV G.P service for the first time. He arranged a mutually convenient time after 5pm to phone through his symptoms. After speaking with a GP, a prescription for a more powerful inhaler was faxed to his local pharmacy and was ready to pick up in 20 minutes.

Our Case Study 2

Our client, needed mortgage cover for himself and his wife. Despite being generally healthy, they have a 14 month old child who has started nursery and is consequently causing him to get various flu’s and colds all the time. Every time he goes to the doctor he has to take time off work and it takes weeks before he actually sees the doctor which inevitably causes him to take more sick days as he cant get the medicine he needs.

He said that within 24 hours he was given an appointment with a doctor, had a video chat and within 30 mins of finishing the consultation , his prescription anti-biotics had arrived at his local pharmacy. How does the LV GP service work?

Open the LV= Doctor Services app, click Remote GP and book your face-to-face video or phone consultation with a qualified UK GP, at a time to suit you.

Appointments are usually available within 2 hours. You can choose your appointment time between 8am -7pm Monday to Friday, 9-1pm Saturdays (excluding bank holidays) and allow 15-20 minutes for your consultation. All GPs are based in the UK and registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).

After your consultation, your medical information will be updated on the app for you to refer back to. And your medical information will only be shared with your own GP at your request. This service can only be used up to 5 times a year.
